Hey what’s up everybody! Today I want to teach you how to make the World’s First Atari-themed drink. Sound good? Let’s do it! Now I don’t know if you remember this, but on a previous episode of Lynx Lounge I said that Xenophobe gives you something extra.. a little “Atari Twist”. Atari Twist! Why isn’t that a drink? We’ll we’re going to make it a drink right now, and I’m going to teach you how to do that. Check out my video below to follow along:
“I started thinking about my favorite drink, which is a White Russian. I’ve been rockin’ those for a long time. They are my favorite and they are my go-to, I love it. We’ll I’m going to show you how to throw a little BTB twist on that, and you are going to turn that White Russian into the Atari Twist.”
– Brian Thomas Barnhart, The Jag Bar
Here we go. Are you ready? The Official Atari Twist recipe. I make everything fresh and with a classic sensibility. Remember, serving drinks also means creating a memorable time for your guests, so it never hurts to be original. Let’s start by gathering our ingredients:
Kahlua (BTB’s Homemade Recipe)
Get an old fashioned glass and fill it full of ice. Here’s a tip: Making your ice from filtered or natural spring water always adds to the drink’s purity. The next thing you’re going to do is put in your homemade Kahlua. I make my own Kahlua using my famous BTB’s Homemade Recipe. Using a homemade recipe to create your own Kahlua makes this something really special, you want to make this drink your own. Then add one shot of Vodka. I like Tito’s Handmade Vodka for this drink, and if you’re making your Atari Twist BTB style, you’ve got to go with Tito’s. Now instead of Creamer or Milk, I decided to use Coconut Milk. Why? Because I want to feel like I am going on a tropical vacation. And one last thing, we’re going to add a splash of Grenadine for that signature red Atari button. Mix with retro Atari games and serve.
That’s the Official Atari Twist drink recipe! Better write it down, and make several yourself.
So, “When is a good time to celebrate with an Atari Twist?” you might ask. Well, there are many occasions that call for this high level of Atari beverage fun. Holidays. Parties. The first day of Summer Vacation. Friday afternoons when you want to feel like you’re on a tropical island escaping the world. Whenever you have family and friends gathered around Atari on the TV set sharing memories and enjoying great games. Atari Day. How about that?
So the next time you have guests over, relaxing by the pool, or even if you’re just making something for yourself, you now have the knowledge to serve up a drink that is special and distinct. Who among your friends could serve an amazing Atari beverage other than you? I think you’re going to love it. Enjoy responsibly. Cheers!
